JOB SUMMARY: Provide program support to insure the efficient and effective delivery of services to
students of the ALP, BASK, English, Communications, and Performing Arts Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.
Works with management in the collection, maintenance, and report of program
statistics to include student tracking, demographics, and enrollment information.

Establishes and maintains records, compiles data; prepares and submits reports as
requested.

3.
Assists program management in the scheduling of classes for exit test pilot to
include arranging times and dates, assisting with compiling test information.

4.
May assist with general office functions to insure effective and efficient delivery
of services to students, i.e. answer phones, takes messages, routes calls and
follows up on calls; provides information services to students and general public.
Attends department meetings and participates in committees as directed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Dean, Americana Language Program, Basic Skills, Communications,
and Performing Arts.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.
Skills/Abilities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
2.
Equipment Used: Personal Computer and other office equipment associated with a general
office environment.
3.
Software Used: Variety of spreadsheet, word processing, data base, and e-mail software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to repetitive motion of
fingers and arms; require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle
materials; and sitting for long period of times.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in order to communicate with fellow workers, supervisors, and
other members of the organization to request or transmit information, ask questions, get
clarification, and exercise tact.
Working Conditions:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent
distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some
disagreeable elements.
