The philosophy of Total Quality Management has evolved as a management concept out of the need for continuous quality improvement and the critical importance of increased profitability and survival in the face of competitive challenges in the global market. The aim of this study is to examine the Total Quality Management practices and organizational performance of business Chitis Pastries in order to determine the relationships between these two practices. There were specific objectives this study seeks to establish as to establish the uniqueness of Total
Quality Management as a vital tool in achieving growth and stability in
Chitis Pastries. In the process of this research, related literature from textbooks, journals, unpublished works, etc formed the theoretical base for the research; also data were gathered through the research questionnaires, interviews and in rare cases, observation. Research questions and hypothesis were formulated and analysis made to arrive at certain findings. It is obvious there is insufficient knowledge and partial adoption of Total Quality Management by Chitis Pastries and based on this, some recommendations were made.
