Employees working together ought to share a special bond for them to deliver their level best. Attraction between individuals brings them close to each other and eventually results in a strong interpersonal relationship. But no two individuals can think alike and there is definitely a difference in their thought process as well as their understanding. The study was conducted with selected business organizations in Enugu state between 2008-2012. The study employs descriptive research design and uses questionnaire to collect data from 396 employees of these organizations in Enugu Metropolis. The study tests this hypothesis that interpersonal relationship has effect on the productivity and performance of employees. The evidence collected from the organizations supported this hypothesis. This suggests that the successful implementation of new work methods and practices is dependent upon the willingness and effective co-operation of staff.
