SCOPE OF WORK: The Concourse “E” Gate Expansions and Express Training Room addition project is composed of
three individual buildings. The buildings is 25,000 square foot 9 gate expansion building, a 5,000 square foot 4
gate expansion building and a 7,000 square foot locker and training room building.
Building components include concrete ramp removal and replacement, selective demolition, standing seam metal
roofing on acoustic metal deck, exposed painted steel trusses, concrete encased steel columns, insulated metal
exterior wall panel with integrated window systems, men’s and women’s toilet areas. This project includes
extensive electrical revisions to the existing system in order to accommodate future passenger boarding bridges.
This project will be constructed in predetermined phases maintaining current airport operations during
construction.

Please NOTE: This is a re-bid of this project that opened bids on 5/12/2016. Bidders are
encouraged to reuse the original bid documents that were issued during the bid period of
4/15/2016 – 5/12/2016 which included drawings, technical specs and addendums 1-3.
Addendum # 4 will be released on 5/16/16
Bid Documents are non-refundable. Contact Richa Graphics for document and shipping costs. Please note, Richa
Graphics is the official Plan Room provider for Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Bidders must be listed
on the plan holders list held by Richa Graphics in order to receive any Bid Documents.
Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. All
visitors to the CLT Center are required to show photo ID and obtain a visitor’s pass from the CLT Center front desk.
Please allow time for this procedure as the Pre-Bid Conference and Bid Opening times can NOT be changed for any
reason. Preferred brand alternates, to the extent applicable, will be addressed at the Pre-Bid Conference.
