On behalf of The City of Charlotte (the “City), Messer Construction is soliciting sealed proposals from
pre-qualified bidders for individual bid packages for the following project at Charlotte Douglas
International Airport:

SCOPE OF WORK:

The project consists of a 3-story, Type 1B, steel-framed addition and
renovation to the existing East Terminal at Charlotte Douglas
International Airport. The overall expansion and renovation area totals
approximately 51,260 sf of construction, plus associated site work and
utility improvements.

Panels, 09A – Drywall/Access Doors/Rough Carpentry/Interior
Mountable Window Systems/Temporary Walls, 09E – Terrazzo Flooring,
09G – Epoxy Flooring, 10A – Signage, 14A – Elevators and Escalators,
22A – Plumbing, 27A – Communications, 31A – Earthwork/Site

Due to other packages being opened previously, combination bids will not be allowed for this bid
opening.
Only bids from previously prequalified Prime Bidders will be accepted. Lower tiered subcontractors and
suppliers bidding to prime bidders are not required to be prequalified.
Utilization of MBE and SBE firms certified thru the City of Charlotte is highly encouraged, reference
project manual for project goals and package specific goals.
