Public Comments
- Student Lily, here on behalf of Kristin Wilson from anthropology. Anthro department needs money for materials. Skeleton costs
$5000, individual bones costs several hundred dollars. Bones are used by many students. Need the ability to effectively lock up
bones. It is recommended to Lily that she and the Anthro department look into College Wide Support Grants.
- Student Karen: Rio+20, a life changing event, Karen encourages the student senate to get involved globally.

Special Items
A. General Assembly Presentation
Representative Avila: Sharon, Steven, Alex, and Gaby went to Gen Assembly. It was a really good convention, the
resolutions were all new. We went to different workshops, that is where we learned about the bylaws regarding the
parliamentarian.
Senator O’Connor: I really enjoyed learning at the assembly.
Senator Culver: If you are interested in learning more at the state level I strongly encourage you to go.
VP Chuiko: We attended quite a few workshops, the bylaws was the best by far. I took a bunch of notes. In the minutes,
you do not have to write word for word. Only you need to write the mover of the motion, and the outcome. Call to question
requires a 2/3 vote. You can only amend a motion when you are in the cue. VP Chuiko goes on to detail the bylaw
information he gained from the assembly.

Delta Representative Report
Reports
A.
Executive Officers
President: Charlotte Achen
Vice President: Oleksii Chuiko – I’ll really miss being on the senate. It is incredible to see a group of people at the
beginning all grow throughout the year. It is an incredible process to watch you all grow. I hope you take this
experience and it will stay with you forever
Treasurer: Joseph Gomez - I had an awesome year with the senate. I enjoy having you all as friends. I really enjoyed
working with all of you.
Legislative Representative: Gaby Avila – The student senate is not a business, it is the student senate. I hope the
rumors I’ve heard about overthrowing the president were merely rumors. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes – but try
not to. Blessings come with patience, but mostly hard work.
Student Trustee: Joseph Watkins - The senate helps us become the people we want to be.
Inter-Club Council Chair: Ivan Sumano-Vargas
Watsonville Representative: (Vacant)
