Subject: Task Order 1008-07 Enhance the safety culture in the PNW.
The PNWCG Steering Committee tasks the SHWT to develop recommendations to help
PNWCG agencies improve our safety culture.
The SHWT should:




Annually develop a safety and health workshop that helps improve our safety
culture in the PNW.
Contact other geographic areas to review pros and cons of managing a daily CC
with ITM Safety Officers to facilitate resolving and sharing safety related issues.
Consider how we distribute reference material for safety related training.
How best to help the PNW fire community continue with our learning culture
The steering committee encourages the SHWT to work with the OWT for operational
considerations for this task order.
