NOTICE TO THE MARKET
WEG SA ("WEG"), pursuant to CVM Instruction 358/02, as amended, hereby informs its
shareholders and the general market that has signed an agreement with the Jimenez family to
acquire the control of Voltran SA, CV, increasing its stake in the company to 60%.
WEG acquired, in May of 2006, a 30% equity position in Voltran, one of the largest
manufacturers of transformers in the Mexican market.
