NOTICE TO THE MARKET
WEG SA ("WEG"), pursuant to CVM Instruction 358/02, as amended, hereby informs its
shareholders and the general market that its subsidiary WEG Equipamentos Elétricos
S.A. agreed to acquire Instrutech Ltda. (Instrutech') a Brazilian manufacturer of industrial,
commercial and man/machine safety automation systems and products.
WEG also explains that the acquisition of Instrutech Ltda. will not entail the right to
withdraw from the shareholders for this acquisition does not fit into any of the situations
envisaged in Article 256 of Law 6404/76, amended by Law No. 10.303/01. The amount
paid in the acquisition does not represent a relevant investment for the purchaser nor
does the average price of each share configure any of the assumptions described in
section II of the previously mentioned article.
