How does the international students’ office get notified when a student’s
address or name is changed by HR or another department besides the
International Students’ Office?
The Data Standards Team needs to decide Who Trumps Who for
business addresses existing in Alumni and the Business office.

Implementation Minutes
One change was made to the minutes for Tuesday, October 14 th,
2008 meeting:
1. Permanent address will not be changed to preferred
address; permanent address will remain permanent
address.
The business office currently uses two address types in the legacy
system for purchasing and billing so they will be added to the list of
addresses.
Directory address will be the faculty/staff address.
The Team decided that a diploma address is not required in
Banner. Diploma address will be imported as the Temporary
address. If the temporary address is different from the permanent
address, the temporary address will be used depending on the date
the address was updated.

members in order for a decision to be made on name types.

Description
 Debbie Goode will contact Jennifer to verify whether or not
her department keeps an emergency contact list for
students. Possibilities are emergency telephone numbers
may exist in a shadow system. If a shadow system
consisting of emergency contacts exists, those numbers will
need to be extracted from the shadow database in order to
be submitted to banner for the migration.

The international Students’ office uses the third field in
myCU as the emergency contact for international students
within the United States.

