Valuable content in the Handout that Sherry forwarded to
TOM will be copied and pasted into the CU Data Standards
Manual.

A version number will be assigned to the Data Standards
Manual for each revision.

Section 2.4 of the manual will be reviewed and a list of the
requirements for common matching will be generated.
Each department will develop a common matching
element for their use.

1. OSRHE mandate FICE codes for students’ former
institutions will no longer be allowed in UDS reporting.
FICE codes are no longer officially maintained by any
federal entity and must be crosswalked to IPEDS codes.
Our current semester, Spring 2009 student data will be the
last semester OSRHE will accept the FICE code in this
field.

The Data Standards Team decided that I.T. will
work with the Registrar’s Office to derive a
decision.
2. OSRHE mandate adoption of new race/ethnic codes
beginning Fall 2010 for student and human resource
UDS data.

The Data Standards team referred this item to I.T.

with I.T’s decision.
3. OSRHE mandate a change in preliminary enrollment
reporting. The current process is being replaced with an
early run of the UDS Student and Class data report to allow
for improved timelines and detail of institutional information
early in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Tom will add a section on Support and Data
Distribution in the Data Standards Manual.

Student Activities would prefer to have the holds for athletic
students to fall under athletics and not under student development.
