Highlights:
The student prototype won’t be ready for the first conversion run in January.
Laurene and Sandra to talk about this.
Extra validation 11/3 to 1/5. Data run starts 1/12.
The student tab in the metadata document shows the order of the tables to be
converted.
The catalog and schedule tables are usually configured by SunGard. Sandra
will be working with the student team on this. We’ll have to have fall schedule
earlier than normal (beg of March) in order to have it built by Banner and
validated before we go live in March 2010.
Recruiting is the first place that hits the curriculum rules (majors, etc.). We need
to convert recruits for fall 2010 and beyond.

Admit and Readmit codes must be kept on students. CU will need to identify
how to do this.

Highlights:
There can be general student records without having admission records. You
have to have a general student record for their first term of academic history.
CU collects term history in legacy and these can be sent but there should be
one for effective term.

Highlights:
The records that have not been graded will come over as in progress records
for prereqs and coreqs to work for fall 2010 enrollment. There will be another
conversion run after the grades are entered to change the in progress to the
real grades.

Summer enrollment starts the same time as fall. How will CU validate against
summer in legacy while fall needs that data in Banner?
CU has some institutional work (before 198?’s) that were put in as transfer
work.

Highlights:
The Banner expert will discuss with us on how to do summary and/or detail
records for A/R. Also see A/R conversion document posted on website. Rick will
need the detail codes before he can do the extract. Doreen will do these.
Format for accounts in the data extract is no commas and the character count
includes the decimal. Precision of 12 and scale of 2 for 14 total character spots.

Highlights:
In our legacy system student AR and finance are not separated. What do we do
about spring and summer charges that we need to know about immediately?
Mike has been informed and will put Ninette in contact with the person to
answer this, probably Mark. There has to be more mini conversions or
something to keep the general ledger in balance.
