Introduction to Women’s Studies

Changes in course content as a result of assessment.
The two instructors for Introduction to Women’s Studies (WS2300) have reported the following
changes to course format as a result of assessment.




This semester I made changes to the way content is delivered by creating an online
Midterm and offering two face-to-face group meeting to students struggling with
writing assignments.
Instruction for specific assignments needing more feedback for understanding on part of
students, which was corrected during the semester as class progressed.
Group discussion and dialogue were increased due to student interest in small group
discussion of difficult topics.
More appropriate technology has been accessed to aid in student interests in hybrid
formats using traditional and virtual connections. For example, for the final activity: I
have created four gifs and websites for my final assignment.
