Assessment Mapping What is an Assessment Map? A plan that details what learning outcomes will be assessed by each activity. The development of the plan maps the measurement of each learning outcome to assignments, quizzes, class projects, etc. that best demonstrate the level of achievement attained. When done prior to the assessment semester, this plan provides a framework for conducting and recording assessment data and allows for the establishment of comparable assignments between sections/instructors. Guiding Questions: 1. Where do I see evidence of this learning outcome? 2. How many instances should I include in my assessment data? 3. Are these instances distributed across assignment types? 4. At what timepoint(s) should those assessments occur? 5. How to account for observations that affect the assessment result? 6. Are the assessment activities on my plan of equivalent difficulty to those teaching the same course?
