Hesperian Landscaping – David Gates Presenter was absent, discussion B. Facility Master Plan update Doug refreshed our memory that the draft had been posted on the web last May. The Board had a presentation of the draft at the August meeting and will go in September to “adopt”. C. Google Maps Project Doug reviewed that a sub-contractor for Google was on campus producing electronic data points per our Board approved contract so that future students could access Google maps of the campus. Q&A followed with the observation that it was a no-cost to the District agreement. D. Project Budgets -Possible Re-prioritization of remaining fundsDoug reported that there was a District-wide effort to review all Measure B funds remaining with a purpose to determine the amount, and if some current or emerging needs might drive a re-prioritization of the remaining funds. Doug indicated that Chabot funds were about 80% spent and remaining funds would be in contingency accounts for existing or completed projects, funds reserved for projects yet to start, or Chabot College Facilities and Sustainability Committee Minutes Pg. 2 funds remaining in partially completed projects. Doug will gather data on funds and their current targeted use to distribute. Conversation should be campus wide with impact of November election filtered into deliberations. Some discussion followed with recommendations that safety and function of current projects should not be compromised. E. Relocation of Campus Safety Melinda Matsuda presented top administrator’s wish to move and combine security operations to one central location in Building 200. Next step will be a feasibility study to be presented at a following meeting. 2.5 Discussion about calendared meetings conflicting with “Brown Bag” Information/Discussion meetings. Committee elected to cancel a scheduled and review workload in October. Doug will update and email revised schedule of meetings. 3.
