Project Status Update
Doug Horner reviewed status of all open/active projects currently under bid or in
construction. Highlights included:
IOB-schedule is currently “slipping”, August ’09 completion date in doubt.
Construction Manager is looking for ways to catch up to schedule. Villas are
currently under contract to District through Dec. ’09 and could be occupied for
longer if needed. Marcia C. requested information on Patio furniture. She was
referred to documents.
4100-Construction starts this summer. Primary issue is field access during
construction. This will need to be addressed by athletics at time of construction.
1400/1600-Michael A. questioned whether the FPP on 1600 would be affected by
its association with 1400 project, and whether this would affect 1400 construction.
Doug H. indicated there would be NO impacts relative to this.
Solar project-Roger N. questioned whether the impacts of the delays in the Solar
project have looked at Parking Lot G impacts. This needs to be looked at relative
to how much of G is offline. Doug H. indicated G would not go offline in any way
until the completion and opening of J.
100-Dave F. questioned about the status of FPP for bldg. 100. Doug H. indicated
user group had thrown this back to campus, with recommendation of evaluating
100 in either a new or updated master plan.
Phase III projects all in pre-bid-no architects yet selected, user groups have yet to
be formed.

Rumor Control
Dayne N. asked for clarification on bldg. 100 and new library as follow up to Dave
F. question on FPP. Doug H. said that the decision of whether to build a new
library and where it would be located would be made by the campus at some
point.
Other Matters Initiated
A. Campus Standard – Trash/Recycle Bin
Trash Recycle Bins-Tim Nelson presented a new recycle bin as a potential
campus standard. One is currently being used outside of Bldg. 200. Feedback
was requested. Committee was positive in general towards its appearance and
functionality.
B. User Group Analysis of Faculty Office Renovations
Faculty Office Renovations (1100/1500/2000)-Dave Fouquet addressed concerns
over the remodel of these buildings and the relative merit of same due to the lack
of conformance to College standard. Dale W. indicated 2600 had similar issues
and concerns. This generated a larger discussion as to whether or not a new or
updated Master Plan should be considered relative to some of the changes that
have occurred from the original
C. Discussion of Campus Master Plan / Education Plan
Marcia requested that this item be rescheduled to our next meeting so that she
could participate.
D. Other Matters
G. Watt expressed concern over FFE standards and costs relative to unknowns
due to computer vendor and standards changes. This needs to be followed
through on once a vendor is selected.
Security Signs-Much discussion as to poor wording and intrusive nature of new
security signs on emergency exits for after hours. Students and Staff have
expressed confusion over what these are intended to convey relative to wording.
