COLLEGE OF BUSINESS Curriculum Committee January 17, 2006 2:00 p.m. 2005-06 #9 Present D. Wunsch (chair), W. Cummings, D. Docking, L. Neeley, T. Singh, G. Aase, D. Haas, P. Fricilone, L. Marcellus Action on Minutes The minutes of the Eighth Meeting, dated November 29, 2005, were approved with one correction. Ethics Handbook It was reported the ETF will continue meeting this spring to finalize the handbook and tutorial. Guidelines for corporate sponsorship will also be developed. Business Administration Focus Group A focus group of business administration majors enrolled in UBUS 310 and MGMT 468 is being planned to seek input on how the college can better serve to them. Computer Skills Assessment Committee The Computer Skills Assessment Committee will begin meeting next week. A presentation will be made on possible software/tutorials which could be utilized. Minor in International Business The committee continued its discussion of a possible Minor in International Business. UCC Representative Because Bob Beatty is unable to serve on UCC spring semester, the College will need to fill that vacancy. Accountancy Items A new course, ACCY 682, International Accounting, was introduced to the committee. In addition, due to low involvement in the department honors program, Accountancy submitted a proposal to eliminate it. Discussion will continued at the next meeting. OMIS major A report was given on the proposed realignment of the undergraduate major in OMIS.
