Action on Minutes
The minutes of the Eleventh Meeting, dated February 14, 2006, were approved
as amended.
Ethics Handbook
The ETF continues to work on finalizing the ethics handbook and tutorial.
Mockups of the handbook will be produced and used in soliciting corporate
sponsors. Plans are to distribute the handbook to students enrolled in UBUS
310 in the fall as well as senior-level business students. The committee
discussed the procedure for administering the online tutorial and the
assessment process.
Computer Skills
Assessment Committee
To measure the level of Excel proficiency junior business students possess, a
sample questionnaire consisting of 20 Excel items was developed by the
Computer Skills Assessment Committee. The sample test (which took about
20-30 minutes) was given to UBUS 310 students on March 21. After
reviewing the test results and making necessary revisions to the questions,
plans are to administer it at Orientation for transfer students and during UBUS
310 for native students. A tutorial has been developed for those students not
successfully completing the test.
Business Administration
Focus Group
A report was given on the meeting which took place with a group of business
administration majors.

announced: Committee on the Undergraduate Academic Environment,
