Action on Minutes
The minutes of the Twelfth Meeting, dated March 21, 2006, were approved.
Ethics Handbook
It was reported the Ethics Handbook will be distributed to students enrolled in
UBUS 310 beginning Fall 2006. Students will be required to complete the
corresponding online ethics module as part of the course requirements.
Caterpillar has agreed to be one of the corporate sponsors of the ethics project,
with others to be secured.
Computer Skills
Assessment Committee
To measure the level of Excel proficiency junior business students possess,
beginning Fall 2006 a test will be administered the first week of class to
students enrolled in UBUS 310. A tutorial has been developed for those
students not successfully completing the exam.
Minor in International
Business
This topic will be revisited again in the fall.
Limited Retention Policy
Planned editorial revisions to the catalog copy will be discussed next fall which
will include clearer wording of the college limited retention policy.
University Committee
Appointments
University committee appointments are as follows:
Committee on the Undergraduate Academic Environment – Sally Webber,
ACCY
General Education Committee – Elisa Fredericks, MKTG
Homeland Security
Certificate
The committee reviewed the Homeland Security Certificate and related new
courses and supports the proposals.
OMIS Item
A proposal from the OMIS Department was distributed which would change
the required OMIS course in the BS in business administration program.
Further discussion will continue at the next meeting.
Annual Assessment
Report
Sally Wakefield met with the committee to present the 2005 College of
Business Assessment Report. Departments need to be sure their assessment
plans are updated for the 2008-09 AACSB Accreditation Maintenance Review.

The meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
Next Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m.
