ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO READ? YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY The Reality of God and
the Problem of Evil by Brian Davies. On June 24th, there will be a discussion of this book at 11:15
am in the rectory living room. Please feel free to join in the conversation on this timeless issue.
OUTREACH MINISTRIES
THANK YOU for your outstanding generosity in last weekend’s
collection for Mother Caroline Academy. As of press time, the
amount has surpassed $2200 and more is on the way! Suggestion
made:
To list in the bulletin the address of the
agency/school/group for which the collection is being held so that
private donations might be forwarded in the future. So… Mother
Caroline Academy, 515 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02121.
ON-GOING COLLECTIONS: Just a reminder about our on-going collections that help
The Family Van, Shattuck Shelter and Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center.
Donations can be left in the hampers that are at either side front entrance of the upper
church. The list of wished-for items is on the large bulletin board in the church entrance.
PLEASE NOTE: School’s (almost) out for the summer! So, we’ll suspend our collection of
snacks and lunch foods for Mother Caroline Academy until late August.
COMING: Summer really is on the way, so plan ahead to be involved in our Saturday, July
21st cookout for the Guests at Shattuck Shelter. Sign-up sheets for donations and
volunteering and a box for cash donations (since we purchase many items in bulk) will be
available June 30th/July 1st, July 7th/8th and July 14th/15th.
ALSO COMING: Our annual back-to-school items drive - August
25th/26th. This year we hope to be able to provide both Julie’s Family
Learning Program, South Boston, and Mother Caroline Academy,
Dorchester, with back-to-school basics like backpacks, pens, pencils,
paper, notebooks and the like. Sales will start soon, so we thought
you’d like to know!
REFRIGERATOR
FOR
SALE – One of our parishioners is moving in two weeks from a local apartment
and is looking for a buyer for a refrigerator which is less than a year old. The cost is $600. Contact the
rectory for further details.
ELDER COMPANION EMPLOYMENT - Hard working, compassionate and dedicated woman is
looking for employment taking care of an elderly person in need of help. She does personal care, light
housekeeping and light cooking. For information, contact the rectory for more information.

HAVE YOU HAD A RECENT (OR NOT SO RECENT) CHANGE OF EMAIL ADDRESS OR

please inform us of that, so that we may be as up-to-date as possible with our information? Just
use the parish address, ignatius@bc.edu, and note, with your name, that this is a new address or
phone number. Do the same thing for a telephone number change or by a call. Thank you.
