Join us on Sunday, October 31st after the Noon Mass to celebrate one of the most significant days of Hispanic culture - The Day of the Dead. This tradition, which is celebrated throughout the Hispanic world on November 2nd , dates back from centuries before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, and consists of paying respect to the ancestors and those departed in a very religious and prayerful way. All visible signs during the feast (flowers, candles, music and food) celebrate the life and the heritage of those who helped us to become who we are. Following the traditions, our Hispanic community will build an Altar de Muertos and will include a procession of people dressed in their traditional clothing outside the church, if the weather allows. We hope you can join us in this enriching cultural event. PROJECT RACHEL FALL 2010 - Do You Know Someone who is carrying sorrow over past abortion?
