ST. IGNATIUS TRANSITIONS GROUP SUMMER SCHEDULE
During the summer months, the Transitions Group will meet every other week. The summer meetings
will be on the following Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM – August 3, 17, & 31. Weekly meetings will
resume on Wednesday, September 7th.
IGNATIAN VOLUNTEER CORPS: NEW ENGLAND is still accepting applications for service in the
upcoming September to June time period. Ignatian Volunteers donate two days per week of service to
local non profits and commit to monthly spiritual reflection in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
BOOK DISCUSSION - Will your summer include a quest? A suggestion for summer
reading is Elizabeth Johnson's book The Quest for the Living God which will be discussed in
the parish center on Sunday, September 18th at 11:15. Please join us.
A Prayer for Generosity
Dear Lord, teach me to be generous,
teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wound,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to seek reward,
save that of knowing that I do your will.
St. Ignatius of Loyola

o

Formation program. If you return your registration form in person or through the post,
we welcome donations along with your registration form. If you return your form
electronically, you can submit a check to the rectory in person or through the mail; either
way, please mark it to Susan’s attention. If you wish, your Faith Formation donation can be
drawn from your Annual Parish Support account. In order for us to do this, you must notify us
in writing (email is sufficient).
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTS-BASED PROGRAM
The ABP operates from a pedagogy which is experiential. In order to make it work, for both catechists
and children, the class size needs to be such that all involved will receive the instruction and attention
they deserve. In order to be fair to all of the families who are involved, we need to limit the number of
children who are able to register to 60. One of the requirements for participating in this program will be
attendance at the retreat (October 21-23). It is NOT a requirement to stay overnight at the retreat. If you
were NOT a participant in the program last year (2010-2011), you are required to meet with Amy Chapman prior
and in order to register for this program.
