JAMAICA RETURN!
Once again, the parish is planning an immersion trip to Kingston, Jamaica to participate in the life of our
sister parish, St. Anne's and St. Anne’s primary school. The proposed dates for the trip this year are
January 18th-26th. If you are interested in finding out more about the trip, please contact Fr. Bob.
One of our young parishioners, Andrew Duehren, has put together a remarkable project to help St
.Anne's primary school in Kingston, Jamaica, benefit from advances in technology and education.
Andrew now has a website where you can contribute directly to this initiative. Please take a few
moments to see the video that Andrew has produced describing the project. You can click his indiegogo
page to learn more. Or paste this link into your browser: http://igg.me/at/tech-to-st-annesschool/x/4409215.

“WE REMEMBER THEM": COPING WITH LOSS DURING THE HOLIDAYS
The loss of a loved one is difficult any time of the year, but the holidays can be
especially challenging for those struggling with bereavement. If grief has changed your
experience and expectations for the holidays, if the peace and joy of the season seem far
removed, you are not alone. Please join us and others of the parish family who have lost
loved ones for a Service of Remembrance on Sunday afternoon, November 24th from 3:00-5:30 p.m . We
will first gather in the Friary Room for companionship and the program will conclude with a prayer
service in the Lannon Chapel. Light refreshments will be served. You are invited to bring a photo or
memento of your loved one. For more information or to register for this program, please call the Parish
Office at 617-552-6102.
BOOK DISCUSSION
On November 24th, there will be a discussion of Awakening the Brain: The Neuropsychology of Grace by Charlotte
Tomaino at 11:15 in the parish offices. According to one reviewer, "Dr. Tomaino’s brilliant work as a neuroscientist
and devoted spiritual practioner has birthed an inspiring, practical book that offers readers all that they would
want to know about the undeniable partnership between the human brain and inner spirit." Please join us on

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR CHURCH?
MASS-TERING THE LITURGY
What is the Liturgical Color for Advent?
Answer in Next Week’s Bulletin
Answer from Last Week:
What is the liturgical color for Pentecost and Palm Sunday
RED
The color red is traditionally used to symbolize martyrdom or the Holy Spirit. Palm Sunday of Our Lord’s
Passion commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, his trial and crucifixion. Pentecost is the
fiftieth and last day of the Easter season. It celebrates the sending of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, which
traditionally marks the birth of the Church.
