MASS-TERING THE LITURGY What is the Liturgical Color for Advent? Answer in Next Week’s Bulletin Answer from Last Week: What is the liturgical color for Pentecost and Palm Sunday RED The color red is traditionally used to symbolize martyrdom or the Holy Spirit. Palm Sunday of Our Lord’s Passion commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, his trial and crucifixion. Pentecost is the fiftieth and last day of the Easter season. It celebrates the sending of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, which traditionally marks the birth of the Church. 3.
