Human Services Program Manager – Child Welfare/ Western Region Position Number – 2444BR This position is responsible for managing five Child Protective Services blended teams. Each team consists of a blended team supervisor who directs, coaches, trains, monitors, and evaluates the work of six social workers who carry out three distinct functions that are the major components of child protective services – assessments, in–home services, and foster care. The Program Manager is responsible for compliance with all legal mandates and state and federal policy and ensuring that services are delivered in a manner that will engage families in child protection. Additionally the Program Manager is charged with hiring of staff and managing personnel issues. There is an expectation that the manager will be skilled in understanding and interpreting data related to caseloads and child welfare outcomes and can ensure that staff is aware of the how their work contributes to the agency's outcomes. *NOTE - A criminal background check will be conducted. Minimum Requirements – Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Health or related field and five years of experience related to the area of employment; or equivalent. A valid driver's license and a "safe" driving record required. Preferred Requirements – Master Degree in Social Work or related field. Supervision in Public Child Welfare in a Department of Social Services in NC. Management of large work group (over 30 people).
