Project Description:
This project provides construction of a new facility to replace the 50-year old Lewis Hall.
The proposed building includes up to date classrooms, computer labs and lab facilities to
accommodate basic skills instruction and coordinated student services. It will include
expansion of the student learning center, tutoring space, small seminar rooms and
classrooms with language labs for ESL students.

The project is complete. There have been only minor scope changes and typical field
changes since the start of construction

Phase-I Construction Phase was extended to address atypical wet winter
Project Status and discussion of Critical Path for Construction:
The Project is complete and warranty inspection for Phase-I is scheduled for 13 July
2015.

The project is complete and all changes negotiated and executed. Total changes were
5.8%, well below the planned contingency.
Discussion of Project Quality
The quality goal for this project includes use of materials and systems that are both costeffective and durable but also aesthetically pleasing. The focus on quality also extends to
the requirement to achieve LEED goals. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
