BRADLEY – Expectations Please read and sign 1. Freedom implies responsibility. In order for other people to respect your rights, you must first respect theirs. Inappropriate behavior will result in zeros, a parent phone call and possibly an administrative referral. If inappropriate behavior occurs during lab, lab privileges will be revoked. Cell Phones are to be kept in your backpack. If they are out, they will be taken! Mp3 players or Ipods are only allowed during in-class work time! 2. Be prepared. Punctuality and good attendance are very important. According to school policy, you will be dropped once you have accumulated 6 unexcused absences in a semester. Three tardies will count as an absence. Materials you will need everyday include a notebook, paper, calculator and a writing instrument. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED 3. You are responsible for your successes in life. I expect high quality. Your final grade will be an average of all worksheets, labs, quizzes, and tests. 100% - 90% = A 89% - 80% = B 79% - 70% = C 69% - 60% = D Below 60% =F Absences must be excused within 24 hours. Following an excused absence, you will have one day to turn in all missed work. It is your responsibility to find out what you have missed. Occasionally other arrangements will be made for laboratory make-up work. Following an unexcused absence, you will be given the make-up work, but will not be given credit for it. Tardiness is not acceptable! After 3 tardies, the student will be expected make-up time during his/her free period for each tardy. ( This is in addition to counting as an absence.) Parents will be notified by phone call on the day of an absence. A letter will be sent home at four absences. Parents have access to progress and attendance reports by phone, 490-3050. A comprehensive semester final will be given. A student is finals exempt providing she/ he: Has less than three absences in all classes. Has a “C” or better and is willing to accept that grade. Does not miss any class during finals week. If you need help, please ask! If you or your parents/guardians have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at 416-6159.
