Tips for success:
 Treat yourself, others, and equipment with respect.
 Be prepared, on time and ready to work when class begins.
 Give your best effort for maximum success.
 Proper prior planning prevents poor performance. Plan the
work, work the plan.
Materials
1 to 1 ½ inch 3-ring binder, dividers, pen, colored
pencils
Notebook Organize in chronological order (1. journal entries
2. notes / handouts 3. homework 4. quizzes / tests)
KEEP ALL PAPERS!
Headings
Include name, date, period, name of assignment.
Incomplete heading = NO GRADE
Attendance
Excused absences
Make up work must be done ASAP! 2 days allowed for
every one day absent. Make up work is the responsibility
of the absentee.
Unexcused absences
Only one point is allowed for work made up that was
done, assigned, or collected on the day of the
unexcused absence.
Excused tardies
No worries- tardy slip or note from teacher needed.
Unexcused tardies
1% of the semester grade will be deducted for each
tardy after the first two.
Tardies can be worked off. See the teacher.
Late work Late work will be accepted for half credit until the
day of the unit test. NO late work will be accepted during
the last two weeks of the semester.
Extra credit

A 100-90 %
B 89-80 %
C 79-70 %
D
Food, drink, personal music machines, and cell phones
NO! None of these in class. Cell phones will be
confiscated if they ring during class. a parent will
need to come to school to retrieve the phone.
Cheating, Plagiarism, etc.
Cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited and will
result in a zero on said assignment as well of
notification of parents and a school administrator.

Use of programmable electronic devices of any kind
is strictly prohibited during any test or assessment.
