Attendance Policy and Excused Absences
Students in the Department of Physical Therapy are expected to attend all classes
and are responsible for work missed during absence from class. Students must notify the
course instructor of excused absences PRIOR to a scheduled examination or quiz.
Examinations and quizzes will be rescheduled only for college-sanctioned reasons, which
include a verifiable emergency such as an illness requiring attention by a doctor or health
center, hospitalization, death or serious illness of a family member, or appearance in a
court of law. Other excused absences include designated religious holidays or
participation in athletic or analogous events. An unexcused absence could result in
altering the course grade.
