Approval of Minutes
The minutes were reviewed and approved.
Vice Chancellor for Educational Services & Technology Report
Tristan Londre is writing a procedure for prior learning credit. Possible assessments will be reviewed with
faculty to determine use. Discussions with faculty will center on possible “testing out” options for courses.
IRB Report
No report
HLC Committee Report
Criteria Co-Chairs have been selected and they are beginning to recruit for committees. Volunteers are
needed for Criterion 3 and 4. Paul wants to identify faculty and staff campus liaisons. Kristy presented the
new HLC portal.
Survey Reports




Tammie May and Melissa Giese collected another semester of Cass County student experience data.
They are developing a survey for Cass County adults.
Library student experience surveys were administered with very positive results.
A faculty & student survey was administered to collect data on student success resources for a Title
III grant proposal. Additionally for the Title III grant proposal, a student survey was administered to
assess digital literacy.
Learning communities continues to assess with a pre/post survey.
MCC Open Pathway Improvement Project Report
The following faculty from the 4th cohort presented their reports:

The Program Review process needs to be revised and started for HLC compliance. Kristy and Cynthia are
having a Program Review Retreat on June 21st to develop a procedure on implementing Program Review in

the spring of 2014. The Program Review timeline for discipline cohorts would mirror the Assessment cohort
timeline. Anyone interested in joining this meeting is welcome to attend.
Higher Learning Commission Update
 Next meeting of HLC cohorts – November 20-22, 2013
Assessment Reports
 No reports at this time
Proposals for new assessment or survey requests
 No report at this time
Campus Reports
 BR – No report
 BTC – Penny is retiring and Joe and Sybil will become co-chairs of the committee. They will begin
attending DACC meetings.
 LV – Met on April 29th. They are looking at assessment information on the website. Information is
being updated by IR after their retreat in June.
 MW – Meeting was canceled, no report
 PV – Meeting is scheduled for next Monday. The agenda is mostly centered on curriculum.
 MO Health Wins –They are hiring an advisor. Recruiting students from FEC continues. More
students are coming to the campuses for information and work to update website information is
being done to help communication.
Old Business
a. 3rd Annual Summer Symposium on Student Learning at MCC on Friday, 7/19/13, PVEC 019
(3rd & 4th cohort Flash-Five presentations are scheduled)
New Business
 The 4th Annual Regional Community College Assessment Conference will be held here on March
28, 2014 in PVEC19 from 8-4:30
 A meeting with North Central to exchange program review and assessment information is scheduled
for May 21st, 2013.
 A Program Review Retreat is being held on June 21, 2013, AC 263 from 8:30-11:30
 Next meeting: 3 PM on June 13, 2013 in PV CC 503.
