Week of February 8, 2015
I hope you enjoyed the beginning of the week the weather was awesome. The kids have been working on
reviewing for our test this Thursday. The topics are Canada’s history, government, and geography,
Economics, Touching Spirit Bear, and vocabulary.
Here is the tentative schedule for the week:
Social Studies:
Monday- Canada Brochure- In class assignment.
Homework: Political Map due tomorrow
Tuesday- Jeopardy- In class review. Students will write down the study
Homework: Organize composition book due -Thursday.
Wednesday- Jeopardy- In class review continued.
Homework: Review composition book. Fix. Due Same Day as Test!
Thursday-
Canada//Spirit Bear/Economics Test
Homework: Check Q. Missing assignments are in red. A3K(Achieve 3000) will be pulled on Thursdays. Grades will be changed
then.
Friday- New Unit: TBA
Homework: A review in class will take place about what to put in their Canada Brochure. Students can (not required if you do not
have access to a computer) work on this in class on Tuesday, February 17. No school on February. Happy President’s Day!
***Public Library has computer access.
Mastery:
Monday –Research.
Tuesday- Finish research paper. Continue to work on Character Description assignment in-class assignment due Wednesday.
Wednesday- Character Description assignment due. Focus: Writing a 3 paragraph essay. We will plan before we write any final
paper.
Thursday- Final paper due for: A Person that Inspires Me
Friday- VideoClips on inspirational people with exceptional gifts to society and humanity (TBA)
