In a Child’s Eyes “My favorite part of the week was listening to Halloween music!”Savannah “The Halloween music was really fun.” Henry “My favorite part of the week was seeing my classmates and doing all the fun work that we have!” – Angelina Next Week: Snap Shot of this Week This week we had our Fall Reading OAA! I am so proud of your children; they worked so hard preparing and taking the test! This week we also did our Student Learning Contracts (SLC). In math we finished up our chapter on rounding! We created videos using the Show Me app on the Ipads to teach our friends how to round to the nearest ten and hundred. The kids loved it! In language arts we worked on creative writing, vocabulary words and our AR tests! The kids went to Mrs. Luzar’s for social studies they are learning to read maps and learning about communities. Our class also earned a Sports Day for awesome behavior! Next week will be a short week; 4 day week!! We will not have school on Friday. Next week we will be starting chapter 3 in math which focuses on adding three digit numbers and regrouping! In language arts we will be doing a creative writing project and reviewing vocabulary words. We will not have a vocabulary test next week since it is a short week! However, AR tests are due by next week. Your child signed a contract that they will read 5 books this quarter! Most of my friends have already reached this goal! In social studies your child will be learning about landforms. Monday- Technology Tuesday- Art Wednesday- Spelling Pre-Test Thursday- Gym, Spelling Test Friday- NO SCHOOL! START COLLECTING AND BRINGING IN BOX TOPS due Wednesday!
