Class Description:
Health is a semester course that will teach students many different aspects of wellness. Students will
develop skills that will allow them to solve problems and think critically about many different health
concepts. Each student will gain a better understanding of personal health and making positive health
choices.
Class Rules/Expectations:
1. Be on time. When the bell rings each student needs to be seated and ready for class to begin.
Students who are not in class before the bell rings will receive a tardy.
2. Be prepared. Students will need to bring a pen/pencil, notebook, and textbook for every class.
3. Students will be respectful of everyone in the classroom.
4. If you need help with anything ask. For any homework, projects, quizzes/test, or anything else school
related don’t be afraid to ask. I will be happy to help.
5. Use class time wisely. Any time I give you time to work on an assignment in class you should take
advantage of the opportunity.
6. There is absolutely no food, gum, or drinks allowed in the classroom. Students may bring water with
them as long as it does not become an issue.
7. Cell phones are not allowed. Any student caught using their cell phone will have their phone taken
away and they may pick it up at the end of the day.
8. All other rules in the student handbook will apply.
Assignments:
Any assignment turned in after the due date will not be accepted and the student will receive a zero for
that assignment. You will be given plenty of time to complete all assignments so this should not be
difficult. If you are absent it is YOUR responsibility to ask for any assignments you may have missed. The
due date for any missed assignments will be extended one day for each day the student is absent. If you
know that you will be absent ask ahead of time for any assignments you may have.
