Overview
During weekly tutorial time, each team will present and discuss a case study in one
of the course tutorials. The case study should reflect any ethical, moral, social, legal
aspect of computers or computing and information technology. Show how this case
study applied at your local nation (give a clear example). A discussion session will
be held with colleagues after each presentation ends with short question to test
your audience understanding.
Objective
1. To empower students' skills in presenting and discussing case studies in
professional manner.
2.To increase students awareness by adding additional issues and cases supporting
the course material.
Implementation



This is an individual task.
It’s allowed to present an outsourcing case study if you like; however you
need to get the acceptance before.
Each case study should not be selected twice in same section; thus check the
previously selected topics before booking yours.
Guidelines & Specifications
• For the presenter:
o You should present the case study and discussion points as power point
slides.
o No submission is required for the power point.
o Your selected case study topic should be within the scope of topics that have
been learned during the period of your presentation time.
o You have the right to get advice and discuses your presentation outline with
your TA.
• For the rest of the class:
o Your colleagues’ case study will be available on the LMS.
o You should read the case study, write down the discussion points.
o Your participation during discussion is part of your participation marks.
Grading Criteria
• Structure and organization.
• Applying good presentation principles and formatting.
• Topic selection independently and related to covered material.
• Good explanation, understanding and discussion of concepts, facts and issues.
• Excellent gestures, good audience attention and eye contact.
• Avoidance of reading either from cards or slides.
•
Colleagues votes
• Time management; enough material for the specified time (10 minutes for
presentation + 5 minutes for the discussion).

