Notices of upcoming tests will also be posted. The purpose of the website is to allow parents to better understanding of what their children are learning and doing during their day. If parents would like further information regarding their child’s learning, they can request more communication. The website is also an opportunity for learners to become more responsible for their learning. In the event of lost assignments, notes, or absences, the wiki will be a vital resource for learners. It will be the responsibility of each learner to ensure that they have the necessary information before coming into class. DAILY ASSIGNMENTS Throughout the course, students will be assigned daily work. Some of this work will not be for marks (formative), but I still strongly recommend that students attempt all work, since the feedback can greatly enhance their learning. The remainder of the daily work will be for marks, and will be verbally identified as such when assigned. TESTS Tests will include spelling tests, reading and oral comprehension and verb conjugations. Students will have opportunities to practice all these skills prior to any assessment and will be provided with information on what the test format will be.
