Warm-up: Students will answer 4
questions from the 2014 released
STAAR test which address TEKS 4A, 4B,
9A and 9D.
Cell Division/Mitosis Worksheet
Assessment: Students will complete
Unit 2 Assessment on Cells.
Guided Practice: Teacher will introduce
the stages of the cell cycle as students
complete guided notes/foldable.
Independent Practice: Students will
view cells in various stages of cell
division and use foldable to identify the
stage of cell division and complete
accompanying questions.
Warm-up: Students will identify pictures
of various cells in different stages of the
cell cycle and label each stage.
Guided Practice: Teacher and student
will go over the warm up. Students will
glue the warm up in their notebook.
The teacher will discuss expectations
for student vocabulary flash cards
homework before administering District
Benchmark.
