Biology Prep Lesson Plan 9/22 4B(R): SWBAT Compare and contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Warm-Up: Interactive Notebook Guided Practice: 9/23 Due: Analogy project due September 24/25, 2014 4A(S): SWBAT Compare and contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Biomolecules Retake Cell Analogy Project time in class. Students will work on the project in class and ask questions about analogies, view examples about analogies, and bring their work to me so I can check their work. Warm-Up: Interactive Notebook Guided Practice: Teacher will review organelles with students once again and review analogies to be used on the project.) Students will review for quiz: 1. Pre-quiz Due: Analogy project due September 24/25, 2014 Cells Quiz Wednesday/Thursday Closing: Teacher will check analogies for projects 9/24- 4A(S): SWBAT Compare and 9/25 contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Warm-up: Students will take a quiz on different types of cells and organelles Cells Test Monday, September 29, 2014 Assessment: Benchmark Test 4B(R): SWBAT Investigate and explain cellular processes including homeostasis, energy conversions, transport of molecules, and synthesis of new molecules. 9/26 4A(S): SWBAT Compare and contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. New Material: Teacher will introduce the cell transport using notes and foldable. Independent Practice: Students will have various activities to practice looking at hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic solutions. Students will also construct a diagram of a phospholipid bilayer. Guided Practice: Students will complete a Cells Review Packet to prepare for the Cells test next week. Cells Test Monday, September 29, 2014 4B(R): SWBAT Investigate and explain cellular processes including homeostasis, energy conversions, transport of molecules, and synthesis of new molecules. Plans are subject to change to support the needs of the classroom.
