PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Arcadia High School Newcomer Program is a two block program serving students in one high
school. Newcomers have three hours of English. Students generally remain in the program for one
year.
INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
Students will learn how to listen, speak, read, and write in English. By the end of the class they will



have completed Level 1 of Rosetta Stone.
