DIGITAL MARKETING DIRECTOR POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION: Digital Marketing Director. Age of Learning is seeking an exceptional Digital Marketing Director to drive strategies and execution to responsibly attract and acquire new ABCmouse.com subscribers through digital channels across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. The Digital Marketing Director will own all key elements of the subscriber acquisition lifecycle from creative concept, media buying and landing page optimization by working cross functionally. The target audience is initially domestic in nature, but will expand to include significant international markets. This person will work as a key member of the Marketing Team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies and tactics across all major platforms (eg desktop, tablet and mobile) to cost effectively acquire paid subscribers while enhancing the ABCmouse.com brand • Strategically segment current and potential audience and apply digital marketing tactics to capitalize on that audience • Leverage rigorous data analysis to inform digital marketing decisions • Optimize campaign performance across marketing channels to achieve target cost per acquisition goals • Rapidly test new marketing channels/publishers (eg digital display, content sites, video, etc) and models (eg CPM, CPC, CPI, CPA, etc) • Collaborate with internal creative, product and engineering teams to optimize product experience • Collaborate with Business Intelligence team to define reporting requirements to achieve defined KPIs • Work with digital media agencies, where applicable, to plan and execute on campaigns • Leverage industry experience and professional network to generate ideas for new acquisition channels POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal person for this position will be proactive, entrepreneurial, quantitative, creative, collaborative and egoless. They must also be/have: • Data driven professional who makes decisions based on empirical evidence and can persuade others to do the same • Deep understanding of and experience in digital marketing especially mobile and social • Proven track record in driving paid subscriptions through digital marketing • Detail-oriented, hands-on individual who has experience executing for direct-response success • Knowledge of general industry technologies and trends especially ad tech, mobile and social • Technical fluency across digital advertising landscape (content types, ad units, rich media, native ads, etc) • Demonstrated ability to deliver aggressive KPIs in defined timeframes • Self starter who can work effectively in fast paced environment • Mature, capable communicator who can make arguments clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing • Strategic thinker who can effectively make the case for taking calculated risks • Strong quantitative and organizational skills • Proficient in spreadsheet analysis (e.g., Excel) and presentations (e.g., PowerPoint)
