performance in order to participate
How will the clubs work?

The clubs will meet monthly and between meetings, club members will work on stock research

Each meeting will have a set agenda (Minutes, Education, Portfolio Review, Stock Presentations and Voting)

The education and stock presentations will vary each month according to the attached schedule

Each club will begin with 100,000 units of Money Math Moolah to invest. Each unit buys $1 worth of stock.

Students will form 10 groups based on market sectors and study S&P 500 stocks.

Each group will present the stock that they studied and all club members will vote on whether or not to ‘buy’
that stock.

Teams may also call for a vote to ‘buy’ additional shares of stock or ‘sell’ underperforming stock in the portfolio.

The club will be limited to buying S&P 500 stock only.

UAB students, faculty and staff will assist with portfolio tracking.

At the end of the year, the students will put together an annual report for their club and club officers will travel
to UAB to present their report and poster to compete for prizes.
