The Amendments – Mini-Project
Directions: On your own paper (CPU or lined – it doesn’t matter), complete the following requirements for your
project. Project will be DUE on THURSDAY OCTOBER 22nd! * *
1.) For EACH of the 27 amendments to the U.S. Constitution:
* Provide a 3-4 (at least) sentence SUMMARY of the ENTIRE AMENDMENT. Make sure to hit the main
points to illustrate your understanding! (1 point each)
* Create an ILLUSTRATION (with color) which portrays YOUR understanding of the amendment – or what
the amendment means to you. Be funny & creative, have fun with this! (1 point each)

If you choose to PRINT, you MUST have TWO pictures per amendment & they MUST be in color!
2.) Pick what you think are the FIVE MOST IMPORTANT amendments to the U.S. Constitution:
* Rank them from ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL (#1) to IMPORTANT (#5). For each ranking, explain why you
chose the rankings you chose. (5 points total)
3.) Pick what you think are the THREE LEAST IMPORTANT amendments to the U.S. Constitution:
* Rank them from the ABSOLUTELY NOT NEEDED (#1) to UNIMPORTANT (#5). For each ranking, explain why
you chose the rankings you chose. (5 points total)
4.) Add the 28th AMENDMENT to the U.S. Constitution! Complete the SAME requirements for YOUR amendment
that you did for each of the other 27.
