Follow the steps below to set-up an account on ChooseMyPlate.gov, enter your food online as
homework (3 Days) and analyze your diet in class on: ______________.
1) Go to www.choosemyplate.gov
2) Click on the “Super Tracker” blue button to sign up for a free account by using your
school issued Gmail address and creating a password.
3) Follow directions as stated on the Right hand side of the site to “create a profile”
(ie: age, height, weight, activity level). Please be honest, you are the only one who will
see this information.
Record your information below that you used to register for your account! You will need
this information when logging back on daily…

*Log back onto ChooseMyPlate.gov to enter all food (correct serving size really matters!!),
drinks and exercise daily.
3 Days must be logged by the next time we are back in the Computer Lab (____________) to
analyze your diet and complete the questions packet.
*Remember to reference the Nutrition Analysis Project Grading Rubric to make sure you are
completing all requirements!

3 Reports needed and how to print them out:
Go to “My Reports”, then click the report needed (3 reports listed below).
Enter date range from days entered. *Works best if 3 days are in 1 week.*
Click blue button “Create Report”, once report is visible...click “Export as: PDF”.
Print PDF version of all 3 reports! Look for your user name when printing...
1. Nutrition Reports
● After “Creating the Report”, use the little + button beside each nutrient listed below. This will
give you the list of foods that fall into that category from greatest to least. The details in this
report will give you important information will help you complete your analysis packet!!
● Nutrients: carbohydrates, protein, fats, cholesterol, sodium, calcium, and fiber.
2. Meal Summary (CLICK ALL)
3. Physical Activity Report
To answer analysis questions:
● Answer questions on a Google Doc or paper packet (given by Mrs. Krech).
● Read each question carefully and be sure to answer all parts of each section. Use ChooseMyPlate.gov to
complete the questions about each nutrient or food group and how they are beneficial to your health.
● Keep your Supertracker profile open and revisit each day’s information (especially for page 1 of the
analysis packet). Look at all aspects of your day: calories, empty calories, food groups, servings, etc...
to complete questions about your diet.
● Use print outs (nutrient report & meal summary) to complete additional questions about your food
choices and what needs to be added, eliminated, or why you are on target.
What needs to be turned in…
● Nutrition Analysis Questions (shared on Google or hand written paper packet)
● 3 Print outs from Supertracker : Nutrition Report, Meal Summary, Physical Activity
Report (PLEASE write you name on each print out!)
