Repaso del vocabulario: (5 min) Instructions found on PPT
In groups of 4, students will review the vocabulary words from the new list. They will do ping pong vocabulary going back and forth saying different new vocabulary words. Then they will progress to ping pong phrases. They will each say a sentence using a different vocabulary word.

Learning vocabulary words is an important part of language learning and research shows that it takes a minimum of 15 encounters with a new word to understand and be able to use the word independently. In order to help you commit your new Spanish vocabulary words to memory you will need to choose and complete one assignment from each of the three columns.

Make a “flip” chart
15 vocabulary words on a sheet of paper. Fold the paper in half vertically. Write the
English words on the left side and the
Spanish on the right side. Then cut one side of the paper into slits you can cover and uncover the words.
Make a word pyramid for 15 vocabulary words.
Choose 2 vocabulary handouts from your teacher. You must give
2 days’ notice for copies to be made.
Using Google “Wordle” as your inspiration, create a wordle with 15 vocabulary words in Spanish and English.

Create a children’s book at least 5 pages long. It must be appropriate, and the story must make sense. Provide illustrations, and use at least

Create a 4x4. Fold your paper into 4 columns. Write words in Spanish in
1 st column, English in
2 nd column, hide the Spanish and looking at English write the words in
Spanish in 3 rd column. Do the same for the 4 th column.
Write 15 original nonrepetitive unrelated sentences using 15 vocabulary words.
Write a letter to a pen pal in a country of your choice. It must be appropriate, at least
7 sentences, and include 15 vocabulary words.
Illustrate 15 vocabulary words.
It may be one scene or individually.
Create the 4 square model for 15 vocabulary words. (1 st square: the word in Spanish; 2 nd square: use the word in a sentence; 3 rd square: illustrate the word; 4 th square: translate into
English).
Create a song, dance, or poem that is appropriate, makes sense, and uses at least 15 vocabulary words.
Write 15 vocabulary word 3 times each.
You must write the
