Homework for the Week of May 6th
Monday, May 6th:
5 minutes of IXL: U.1 Fractions – Equal Parts
- Continue to Practice : Review all subtraction facts. Record facts that your child has difficulty with in
homework notebook. If your child had no difficulties with any facts, please write “none” or “all correct”
under math facts in the homework notebook. Your child should still be practicing their subtraction facts.
We will have 2 minute fact tests each Friday throughout the months of April and May where there are
100 facts on the page and students need to answer 50 facts correctly to be proficient in subtraction
facts.
- Read for 10 minutes and record books read in homework notebook.
- Complete Fundations dictation in homework notebook. Words for Monday are: boost,
rainbow, plastic, lungs
Tuesday, May 7th:
- 5 minutes of IXL: U.2 Fractions Halves, thirds, fourths
- Continue to Practice : flashcards: review all subtraction facts.
- Read for 10 minutes and record books read in homework notebook.
- Complete Fundations dictation in homework notebook. Words for Tuesday are: auto, draw,
haunted, seesaw, fault
Wednesday, May 8th:
- 5 minutes of IXL: U.3 Fractions Identify the Fraction
- Continue to Practice: flashcards: review all subtraction facts
- Read for 10 minutes and record books read in homework notebook.
- Complete Fundations Trick Words dictation in homework notebook. These words should be
practiced repeatedly for mastery in spelling. Your child should make flash cards with the words
on them to practice them. The words for Wednesday are: August, should, December, little,
daughter
Thursday, May 9th:
- 5 minutes of IXL: V.1 Probability and Statistics – More, less and equally likely
- Continue to Practice: flashcards: review all subtraction flashcards
- Read for 10 minutes and record books read in homework notebook.
- Complete Fundations dictation in homework notebook. The sentence for Thursday is: They
plan to launch the ship in July.
Please make sure that your child does not bring toys to school unless it is their sharing day.
We have been having trouble with Pokemon cards. Thank you!
- FRIDAY- Make sure an adult at home has signed their name or initials for each day you
did homework in your homework notebook. Pass in your homework notebook as soon as
you get to school and get unpacked!
