literature of Early American history.
Daily Assignments:

Listen to opening part of “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” (p. 106)
Remember your Read like a Rock Star Project (Really Creative Writing or
Inner Artist) is due next class period
On laptops, work on Great Test Makers are Great Test Takers assignment
In groups at the end of class—


Read from Poor Richard’s Almanack (p. 171-172) and come up with 10 modern
aphorisms in your group
If not on laptops,


Finish reading “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” (p. 106-111) and do
questions
Read from Benjamin Franklin’s The Autobiography (p. 166-170); write a summary
of it on an Exit Ticket
AP English for April 2/3, 2013
Daily Objective: To understand the historic works that led to the American
Revolution in this country.
Daily Assignments:
 Turn in your RLARS project at the BEGINNING of the period. If you
completed the Really Creative Writing portion, it should have ALREADY
been turned in to turnitin.com AND you should have a hard copy to give to
me. 4th period—You will give these to Kristina who will bring them to Ms.
Cochran so I can collect them at the end of the day.
 Work on Great Test Makers are Great Test Takers assignment for ½ the
period (if you do not have access to laptops, you can handwrite it and type
it later)
 Complete The Crisis Activity (that is in your Guidebook) after reading it in
the Elements of Literature textbook during the other half of the period and
turn it in!
 Remember your BOOK TALK and food for your BOOK TALK is due next
period.

Daily Objective: To enjoy the camaraderie of our classmates as we
analyze and discuss our RLARS book.
Daily Assignments:
 Assign Persuasive Speech (due April 10/11)
 Complete Emerson Quoting Activity
 Eat food and enjoy our Book Talk
 Reminder—Your Great Test Makers are Great Test Takers
Assignment is due tonight at 11:59 pm; if you plan on using your
WHOOPS pass for it since you are an unaccomplished
procrastinator who underestimated the time it would take to
complete this assignment, you should be aware that then it is due
Saturday at 11:59—plus you need to complete the other
assignments that go with the Whoops Pass at that time!

Daily Objective: To appreciate the poetry of the Romantic
Age.
Daily Assignments:
 As you enter class, watch Iron Maiden’s interpretation of
Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
 Complete paraphrasing and stanza activity through a
POWER READING of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
 Read other poems of the Romantic Age and write poems
 Work on RLARS project—due next class period
 Work on Poetry Alive!—due Friday (along with your food
for your Book Talk)
