Group IT Manager

The Role:
This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed IT Manager to join an established team in a
vibrant, forward thinking media agency group. This role will be highly challenging and will give you the exposure to
the business and engage your wealth of experience. It’ll be a challenging position but one which will allow you to
build some great relationships with your internal client group.

Key Responsibilities:








SAN (Netapp) administration - administer NetApp filers (Data on Tap) Snap Mirror and Snap Manager.
VMWare Enterprise Plus / MS HyperV administration - to administer VMWare and HyperV servers farms
across multiple sites.
Network Switching Administration inclusive of routing. HP Procurve Switch administration, inclusive of
advanced TCP/IP knowledge. VLAN and Routing, DHCP/DNS protocol management. Brocade Fabric
experience.
Administer, build and configure Windows / Linux servers
Avaya phone system support across multiple sites.
Sonicwall VPN administration.
Canon Uniflow Print administration across multiple sites.
SQL Server Administration









Active Directory Administration, including GPO
Varonis Datvantage administration
Patch management, administer the WSUS server
Change/configuration management, record and seek approval for each technical change that has an impact on
any system.
Periodic Failover testing, Test, Record, Results.
Daily checks on active equipment / services to check all resource performance and availability, check and
manage backups, NetApp Snaps and Symantec Backup exec.
Assist the Group Infrastructure Manager managing the 3rd Line Support team, management of daily tasks and
projects, staff training and reviews.
Technical documentation and white papers, research and write up on emerging technologies inclusive of
technology in POC.
Group alignment with Group Procedures and Governance, Group Security and Data Protection policies.
Who we’re looking for:






Commercial experience in a IT manager/ IT Network manager position, ideally from within a similar media,
marketing or creative agency group.
Very competent in VMware, NetApp and Windows Server 2003-2012
Strong skills in HP Pro-curve Switch Administration/configuration (desirable)
Highly knowledgeable in Group policy (GPO) and IP Networks
Strong team management experience, with the ability to train and nurture talent within the business.
Ideally, certifications in MCSA-MCITP, VCP, CCNA, CCNP
