The Connections Partners are responsible for driving profitable revenue and delighting clients. Each will be responsible for a ‘virtual business unit’ of HMG clients, working in partnership with a data analyst. Specific responsibilities will include: - Understand client’s strategic needs and develop tailored activation strategy across on-line and off-line media, supported by data and working in collaboration with client teams, platform specialty leads, and specialist teams; consistently delivering outstanding campaign performance. Support client education, providing thought-leadership and argumentation around adoption of digital media and technology. Work closely with respective client teams, lead and develop platform and product strategy across client portfolio focusing on product education, alignment, and adoption. Ensure data is at the heart of all client activation plans; driving results through clever use of media, technology, and data Deliver revenue and income targets across client portfolio. Act as the point of senior escalation for both client and internal stakeholder needs with regards to strategic activation Connection Partners will also be part of a global Connexion Community which will be invited to global networking and training sessions. Key Responsibilities: Planning Work alongside client leads to define campaign strategy, budget, media allocation (inc. speciality platforms), and KPI’s (in line with the MCP process). Support planning best practice throughout client portfolio, specifically working in conjunction with client teams to improve the quality of planning insight rooted in client understanding. With the support of a Data Analyst, continually deliver informed planning decisions grounded in data insight Develop and implement planning strategies that enable specialist teams to understand and deliver outstanding work. Ensure HMG activation best practice is in place across client portfolio, reporting on activation KPI’s and evolving strategy as necessary. Speciality Platforms Manage effective stakeholder relationships with speciality platforms, heads of, and senior specialist stakeholders. Working with the MD Middle Office, in support of the strategic development of speciality platform capabilities and adoption across Affiperf (programmatic), Socialyse (social), Mobext (mobile), Ecselis (digital performance), AdCity (programmatic OOO), and Artemis (data). Develop and implement planning that appropriately integrates speciality platforms. With the ultimate goal of delivering outstanding campaign performance. Develop complementary engagement strategies that articulate and promote the benefits of HMG speciality platforms. Support speciality platforms’ commercial targets, recommending investment strategies and implementing investment adjustments when and where necessary. Clients Work in partnership with client teams to develop, maintain and grow strong relationships with senior clients. Work alongside client teams and specialist teams to deliver integrated digital technology solutions, which place innovation and best practice at the heart of all recommendations. Senior point of escalation for speciality platform issues. Strategy and Thought-Leadership In conjunction with Data and Insight Team, embed value attribution methodologies within strategy and campaign optimisation. Lead adoption of specialty platforms and appropriate technology solutions in order to drive improved performance across client portfolio. Be a central figure (along with other digital specialists) in improving HMG’s digital technology understanding. New Business, Marketing and PR Support new business initiatives and be actively involved in pitches. Create first class case studies to represent HMG’s best work. Enter (and win!) awards. Raise profile of HMG through thought leadership, industry events, comment / articles, and conferences. Who we’re looking for: Proven pedigree in delivering innovative digital strategy and solutions. Extensive agency experience working directly with clients across digital media channels. Excellent working knowledge of the technology landscape that surrounds digital advertising. Excellent understanding of DSP’s, programmatic platforms and how automation can be applied to media buying. Excellent understanding of social media, social platforms, and related APIs and ad products and a good understanding off-line media channels. Proven track record of delivering client growth and influencing client investment strategies. Good industry understanding, shown interest in our evolving industry and the implications for clients, media owners, consumers, and the market place. You are an established or emerging opinion leader within the industry. Excellent client service skills and the ability to multitask with great attention to detail. You’ll have a history of influencing and managing multiple stakeholders and inputs. You are able to build effective relationships quickly, by adapting to different styles; good team-worker. Excellent listening and analytic skills, able to simplify complex concepts and create innovative solutions. Excellent storyteller and capable of articulating the benefits and value add of our services and specialty platforms to clients. Strong negotiation and commercial management skills. Can lead and be part of a high performing (virtual) team. Ideally you’ll hold a degree or relevant qualification.
