Speaker Biographies Bill Jawitz is the Founder of SuccessTrackESQ and has been working exclusively with attorneys since 2002. He helps high-achieving attorneys learn how to run great practices while becoming healthier individuals. A frequent CLE presenter who consistently receives high scores for content and style, Bill has conducted dozens of training programs for numerous Bar Associations, and has been brought in by law firms and corporate legal departments to guide them on wide-ranging practice management projects. Bill holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Communications and Technology. Prior to founding SuccessTrackESQ, Bill founded and ran Connecticut’s first public charter school (The Odyssey Community School, in Manchester) and served as the founding Technology Coach at The Learning Corridor in Hartford. He is also the author of the nation’s top-selling textbook on media literacy, Understanding Mass Media, 5th Edition. Bill is an active guitarist and vocalist and enjoys performing a range of material from Cole Porter to John Lennon. He lives on Long Island Sound, in Milford, CT. Douglas Brown, Esq is an Academic Program Manager for the MBA Program offered by The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University and a Practice Advisor with SuccessTrackESQ. A life-long entrepreneur and business builder, Doug practiced with Tyler Cooper & Alcorn before becoming Director of Legal Services for USCO Logistics. His business roles have included VP of Operations Administration and Global VP of Aftermarket Management for Kuehne & Nagel. He currently coaches and teaches individuals and teams in the areas of marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, quality, productivity, strategy and organizational development. Doug is Chair of the CBA’s Small Firm Practice Management Section and he writes a regular column for The Connecticut Lawyer Magazine. A frequent presenter to business and community organizations, Doug’s advice has been featured in publications such as INC Magazine, The Chicago Tribune and The New York Post. Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Statistics from The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and his Juris Doctor cum laude from The American University, Washington College of Law where he was an editor of the International Law Review. Doug lives in Cheshire, Connecticut with his wife and three children - where he can often be heard in the winter and spring as the voice of the Cheshire Rams football, basketball and lacrosse teams.
