Gaurav Sharma, Sr.DME /Power/Bikaner is in-charge of Mechanical Loco department assisted by ADME(P) Sh. S.K.Dutta .There are 6 Lobbies and 5 R/Room & 3 RDI’s in BKN division. BKN & CUR lobbies are headed by loco supervisor and rests of lobbies are headed by Crew Controller In-charge respectively. BKN,CUR & HMH RDI are headed by CLI fuel . 2.0 STAFF STRENGTH The On Roll strength of running staff is 605(Including Crew Controller & Power Controller & SLIs) as against 738 Sanctioned cadre. RUNNING ROOM There are five-combined running room for guards and drivers which are located at SOG,BKN, SDLP, CUR & HSR. Location Bed Category Avg. RAILWAY DIESEL INSTALLATION Railway Diesel Installations are situated at Bikaner, Hanumangarh & Churu. RDIs BKN & HMH are equipped with the road decanting facilities. Fuel Pad HMH is under construction, Fuel pad at HMH will be helpful to avoid engine failure on account of lube oil, water, sand etc. CREW MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) Crew Management system is functioning properly at BKN, HMH, HSR, RE & SOG lobbies. On the instruction of HQ/Jaipur one complete set of CMS equipment has been sent from HSR to CUR. The operation control of BNW lobby CMS equipment is under traffic department. 7. IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS / HIGHLIGHTS OF DEPARTMENT DURING FINANCIAL YEAR 2011-12:- A. For the purpose of energy conservation,10505 Locomotives were shut down during lie over totaling 55173 hours in the financial year 2011-12. This has resulted in saving of H.S.D. oil costing Rs.36345946.Which is 78.78% higher than last financial year. B. (i) NEW INNOVATION / IMPROVEMENT IN LOCO LOBBIES COMBINED CREW LOBBY AT CUR:- (ii) MECHANICAL LOCO A new combined crew lobby for guard and crew members has been constructed having 05 rooms with verandah. The following facilities have been provided in this lobby. The CMS rooms equipped with computers and Kiosk is air conditioned for the first time in this division. This room is centrally placed in the building. One room adjoining to CLIs is provided for counselling of LPs and other room of SSE(L) is inter connected with Ministerial staff for ensuring effective supervision. Combined toilet facilities attached with the room for Ministerial staff. CMS SYSTEM:- In order to prepare NDA & RA on CMS the following software complaints have been eliminated from CMS with the coordination of CRIS:BKN-RTGH section is included in the system. Nal station between BKN-KLYT section has been included in the system. Short trip 120 km. of running staff is also included in CMS (earlier this facility was not available in system). CMS equipments in all lobbies are under AMC for 03 years since 01.06.2010. C. NEW INNOVATION / IMPROVEMENT IN RDIs (i) RDI/CUR: After gauge conversion in DNA-RTGH-CUR-SDLP section and increasing traffic, a new RDI at Churu was planned in co-ordination with M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited / Jaipur M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited / Jaipur have constructed modern state of the art Railway Diesel Installation at Churu having total capacity of 567 Kiloliters. The new RDI/CUR has been inaugurated by Honourable GM/NWR/JP on 24.02.12. A/P/HQ/RJ/15/2411(P288985)RCD dated 22/2/2012 issued by CCE(PESO)/Nagpur. (ii) FUEL PAD HMH:-Contract awarded on 23.09.11 and work under progress. RDI/HMH is in process of being shifted to new safer site. (iii) RDI/HMH:-Fuel pipe lines at RDI/HMH are being replaced by new ones. D. (i) (ii) IMPROVEMENT IN RUNNING ROOMS 48 and 40 quilts with cover have been distributed to Running Room CUR & BKN respectively. Eye massagers have been provided in Running Rooms BKN,CUR & SOG of BKN division. This will help in removing stress and providing relaxation to Loco Pilots. E. (i) (ii) (iii) MAN POWER 09 surplus posts of MPK (RR) & 03 surplus posts of SSE (Loco) have been surrendered. Resulting saving of Rs. 3484848 per annum. With the rationalization of coaching link one passenger crew was saved resulting in saving of Rs. 7.47 Lac. per annum. A panel of 184 App. ALPs have been received from HQ/Jaipur, out of which 43 App. ALPs have been posted at various lobbies of BKN division after completion of training. (iv) 46 Sr.ALPs/LPS have been promoted as LPG and posted at various lobbies of BKN division. E. (i) Misc. Achievements S.N. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Following material is available on FTP:- (a) Lobbies, Running Rooms, RDI, Cadre Position, Performance Parameters Loco & Crew , Works, M&P & RSP, Presentation , Inspection ,Highlights/ Innovation ,PCDO, Budget and Important communication/ Feed back. (b) Running allowance & Night duty allowance of running staff are being prepared on CMS. (c) Computerization of all Loco Lobbies. (d) All correspondence with HQ now being done on e-dak. 10. ASSISTANCE REQUIRED A. Construction of new 2x20KL lube oil tank from IOCL may also kindly be expedited. B. A panel of 152+32=184 has been received from HQ/Jaipur, out of which 29 candidates found Medical unfit & 11 candidate have not turn up. Replacement panel of 40 App.ALP (29 medical unfit + 11 not turn up) may kindly be provided on priority. C. Pin Pointing of Ministerial and Maintenance staff of Mechanical department has been sent to HQ in Dec.-2011. An early action may kindly be taken for above case. D. A Proposal of creation of 18 posts for fuel pad HMH has been sent to HQ/Jaipur on January-11. An early action may kindly be taken for the sanction of creation of above posts.
