• Each weekend your child will receive a piece of English and Maths homework, instructions for which should be in the children’s homework diaries. This will be linked to their work in class. Please support your child in completing this.
• Reading – encourage children to read at home as often as possible. If you no longer need to hear your child read (because they are a confident free reader), then please discuss their reading with them.
• Spellings – weekly spellings to learn at home.
• Times Tables – as previously discussed.
• Your child may also occasionally bring work home to finish.
• This year only Year 6 will be going. The format will remain the same as in previous years.
• The blog that followed last year’s trip each day will give you a good idea of what to expect.
• All children are expected to wear the appropriate school uniform at all times.
• Grey skirt, pinafore, shorts or trousers.
• White polo top.
• School jumper or cardigan.
• Plain black shoes – not trainers, no heels.
• No make-up of any kind is allowed in school and should be removed.
• Your child should have the appropriate kit in school every day, in a named drawstring bag.
Plimsolls/trainers
A change of socks
White school t-shirt
Green shorts
Jewellery should not be worn. However, studs may be worn immediately after piercing, but covered with the child’s own micropore tape. They should then be removed prior to PE.
• Children should bring in a named water bottle to keep in the classroom for drinks during lesson time.
• Healthy snacks may be brought in to be eaten at break times.
