REFUNDS: Over 60’s: £154.50 Benefits: £96.00 Course Description This is a leisure course with no formal assessment. This course is for you if you are an absolute beginner. It covers everyday situations that you might encounter on a trip to Spain, such as ordering in a restaurant, asking for directions, etc. What is the course about? The aim of the course is to enable you to speak and understand Spanish in a range of everyday situations. Course Outline The topics we cover are: Meeting people and exchanging personal information Ordering food and drink Asking and saying where places are Booking into a hotel Describing daily routines Shopping for clothes Talking about sports and hobbies, buying tickets to the cinema. Are there any special requirements for joining? No How will I learn on the course? We will use a textbook, Pasos 1, third edition, and a range of videos, role-plays, flashcards and cue cards, with the emphasis always on effective communication. Grammar will be taught by clear explanations and easy examples. How will my progress be recorded? You will complete a Learner Progress sheet for each term's work to enable an overall picture of your progress over the 30 weeks. Will there be any homework? If so, how much? Vocabulary learning, and an exercise will be set for homework most weeks which should take no more than ½ an hour. Do I need to bring anything? Pasos book 1, third edition.
